My younger sister Ally, my husband Jerome and I were itching to get out and see the autumn colours because we all loovvvee autumn so much. The smells, the colours, the cooler weather, the fashion - gimme all things autumn!
Jerome and I have wanted to go to Belfountain Conservation Area for years, but just never did. I’m so glad that our first time there was during fall because it was extra beautiful. We went on the 8th of October, and it was the money time for colours. There was still green in the trees, but there were many trees with red, orange, and yellow.
With Covid, you have to book a time slot online before going and you have a 2 hour time limit. We thought 2 hours would be plenty of time, but it honestly FLEW by. We were having so much fun taking photos of each other and chatting and just being with together.
My sister has problems with her back, so she brought her walker with her. I’d say that it’s not walker/stroller friendly. There were a few flat areas where she could use it which was good, but tbh, Jerome carried it most of the time. I’d say the hike is otherwise fairly easy, family friendly, and super beautiful in the fall. It was also really Covid friendly because of they also limit the amount of people allowed. We saw maybe like 6 or 8 other people and thats it!
Definitely itching for more fall activities.. Gah, I srsly love fall!
I really need to get out more during fall - it brings me so much joy.
What are your favourite things to do during fall time?
