My family wanted to do a fun fall activity for Thanksgiving, so we spent the morning at Dyment’s Farm. It was a lovely morning with perfect weather. The farm is definitely for families with young children, so it was fun seeing my little nephew excited about the tractors and playground.
There were a lot of photo-op areas haha. Ally, Jerome and I obviously took advantage of it and took way too many photos again. The farm has a pumpkin patch, a corn walk (not a maze), a seasonal waterfall, playground, and more. I believe the tickets were around $14 per person and the pumpkins were $5 each.
For our Thanksgiving lunch picnic, we drove to a little park near the farm, set out blankets and small decor and tried to make it as cute as possible. We had sandwiches, made a vegan cheese board, and drank Starbucks teas and coffees.
There was a little hiking path there too. We didn’t actually do much of it though. We mostly went in to take more photos, ha.
Overall it was a nice change to our regular thanksgivings. My parent’s kitchen is currently being reno’d, so we couldn’t have a nice dinner there. And with Covid, we had to social distance a bit (we don’t technically have a “bubble” because we don’t really see anyone tbh - I’d say my parents and younger sis are sorta in ours but not my older sis and her fam).
